Three taken to hospital after traffic accident

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Three people were taken to the hospital Tuesday evening after a traffic accident in the intersection of S. Third and orange Streets.

According to authorities, a car was trying to cross at Third and Orange when it was T-boned by a van heading south on Third Street, away from downtown Wilmington.

Police say Joshua Cory Law, of Castle Hayne, was driving the van and Titus Winrod, of Alaska, was in the car.

Both drivers and a passenger from the car were taken to the hospital for treatment.

According to police, no charges have been filed pending the completion of the investigation. Alcohol and speed do not appear to be factors in the crash.
