Halyburton Park hosting New Year’s Day two-mile hike
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington residents are invited to kick off 2012 with a two-mile nature hike at Halyburton Park on Sunday, Jan. 1 from 10 a.m. – noon, according to Malissa Talbert with the City of Wilmington.
Those at the event will also get to learn about the park's history as they hike from the park to the Cameron Art Museum along the Gary Shell Cross-City Trail.
The hike is free and anyone 10 and over is welcome to participate.
Halyburton Park is located at 4099 S. 17th Street.
Preregistration is required by Friday, Dec. 30.
