WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - More than 200 volunteers built a playground in Wilmington in just six hours on Friday.
Thanks to the volunteers, Portia Mills Hines Park at the intersection of 10th and Rankin streets has a new look.
Organizers with the non-profit group Kaboom had 25 kids in the neighborhood design their dream park.
The new playground consists of four slides, a rock climbing wall, benches, and many other types of play equipment.
Volunteers say the concrete will have to dry over the weekend; then, the park will open Monday.
