WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The downtown area is ideal for bicyclists, and now the Cape Fear Museum is making it easier for them to put down their kickstand and tour the exhibits.
The museum has installed a bike rack, which the City of Wilmington donated.
“Everywhere you look, people are riding bicycles for pleasure, exercise, transportation around town and even commuting," said Museum Director Ruth Haas in a news release Tuesday. "Cape Fear Museum wanted to provide a rack for cyclists to safely store their bikes while visiting the Museum."
Bicyclists, and all visitors, are also encouraged to check out the 1950s tandem bike on display in the 20th century portion of "Cape Fear Stories."
The Cape Fear Museum of History and Science is located at 814 Market Street. For more information about hours of operation and exhibits, click here.
