Your child's chance to be in 'The Hobbit' | Arts & Culture

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Thalian Association Children's Theatre is holding auditions for The Hobbit.

It's an adaptation of the famous J.R.R. Tolkien novel, which will also be released as a major motion picture this winter.

Auditions will be held Monday, Oct. 22 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Community Arts Center in downtown Wilmington.

No prepared material is required. Auditions will consist of readings from the script.

Children from seven years old to high school seniors are welcome to audition.

The show will be presented December 7 - 26 at the Community Arts Center.
