Beach reads on sale for 50 cents next Saturday | Business

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Paperback books will be on sale for 50 cents each on Saturday, July 21.

The Friends of the New Hanover County Public Library are holding a beach reads paperback books sale from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Northeast Library, located at 1241 Military Cutoff Road in Wilmington. Mysteries, romances, thrillers and sci-fi paperbacks will be available. No children’s books will be at the sale.

The library accepts used books, CDs, DVDs and other materials throughout the year. Then the Friends of the Library organize three sales each year (fall, spring and summer). The sales raise about 20% of the funds used to buy new materials, according to Assistant Library Director Paige Owens. The fall sale is scheduled for September 28 through October 3.
