Kids pretend to be a dentist during field trip | Children

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Students learned more about oral hygiene Thursday during a hands-on field trip to the Campbell Orthodontics Office in Wilmington.

During the trip, students rotated through various learning stations in the office. They learned more about how facial skeletal muscles work, how wires and brackets are used to straighten teeth, and good oral hygiene.

The kids were also given the opportunity to put on gloves and a mask and pretend to be a dentist while inspecting each other’s teeth.

This is the eighth consecutive year Dr. Robert Campbell and his staff has hosted the Dental Health Month Field Trips.
