County-wide Science Fair planned for Thursday evening | Community Spirit

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – New Hanover County Schools will hold its annual Science Fair on Thursday, Jan. 26.
Students in grades 3 through 12 entered their projects in categories such as biology, earth science, physical science, technology and engineering, according to a news release.
Project judging will begin at 4:15 p.m. at Murray Middle School, located at 655 Halyburton Memorial Parkway. The public can view the project from 6 until 7 p.m. and an awards ceremony will immediately follow at the Minnie Evans Arts Center, located next to Murray Middle.
Judges will include local business owners, community members and government agency officials from the City of Wilmington, Stormwater Services, Cooperative Extension, the Cape Fear Museum, the North Carolina Aquarium, the N.C. Soil and Water Conservation District and the Cape Fear River Watch.
Selected projects will reportedly advance to the regional science fair competition to be held on Saturday, Feb. 11 at UNCW.
