Church closed to public to fix violations
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A church in Wilmington is off the condemned list, but it’s not quite ready for service on Sunday.
Officials in New Hanover County met with the owner of Vision 3D Pentecostes Church on Mercer Avenue Monday to discuss code enforcement.
The county condemned the church for a number of violations last Friday.
People were living in a basement with improper lighting, plumbing and ventilation, according to county staff.
The church will open for renovation work, but remain closed to the public.
