WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Saint Mary Moseley Performance Learning Center in Wilmington is one of 32 schools in North Carolina awarded a grant from the Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation.
The school will use the $5,000 grant to help revamp an old memorial garden on campus.
“Through Lowe's Toolbox for Education grant program, we are acknowledging parent-initiated efforts that enhance the learning environments of children in the communities we serve," said Marshall Croom, chairman of Lowe’s Charitable and Educational Foundation in a press release. "By supporting schools in North Carolina, we are rallying behind a cause that is important to both our customers and employees, and we're helping to build a stronger foundation for the children who will be tomorrow's employees, homeowners and community leaders."
More than 580 Lowe’s Toolbox for Education grants were awarded nationwide, benefiting K-12 public education.
