WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Crews will be hard at work Saturday in downtown Wilmington for the 13th annual Azalea Pride event.

Azalea Pride is a clean-up effort by the NC Azalea Festival to spruce up the Wilmington area in preparation for the festival next weekend.

The clean-up event will be held Saturday morning from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

The Azalea Festival will kick off Thursday night with a Kenny Loggins concert at Trask Coliseum.  Scotty McCreery will take the stage Friday as the headline performer of the festival.
