WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Miller-Motte College is helping those who are looking to get back in the work world, but may not have the professional clothing to make it happen.
During the month of July, Miller-Motte is collecting business and professional clothing for the non-profit groups LINC and LITE. LINC helps past criminals get back into society with job searching, counseling, housing, tutoring and more education, while LITE is a mentoring program for African American males from ages 16-21. The goal of that mentoring program is to prevent dropouts, early fatherhood, foster care, criminal or gang activity and for those may have a parent in jail.
If you'd like to donate business/professional clothing, including business button up, collared shirts, slacks, ties and dress shoes, you can drop them off at the Career Services Resource Center at MMC. MMC is located at 5000 Market Street.
Park on the left side of the building near Administration. You can walk in the side entrance and let the receptionist know you are there for the donation drop-off.
