WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Carolina Farmin’ recently donated $2,500 to fund student scholarships in Cape Fear Community College’s Culinary Arts and Hospitality and Management programs.
Carolina Farmin’s CEO Wayne Long said he’s happy to support the students at CFCC and an organization that “continues to be such an integral part of our community.”
“Cape Fear Community College showcases the best of what our area has to offer,” said Long in a press release. “It provides a quality education and the workforce training that’s an incredible asset to local businesses, including Carolina Farmin’.”
According to CFCC spokesperson David Hardin, CFCC’s Hospitality Management curriculum prepares students to understand and apply the administrative and practical skills needed for suerpvisory and managerial positions in hotels, motels, resorts, inns, restaurants, institutions and clubs.
