WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Coastal Horizons Center in Wilmington has received a federal grant of $1.6 million.
Congressman Mike McIntyre said the center is on the frontlines of helping citizens and building a better community.
“These federal funds will help them continue their core mission of ‘promoting choices for healthier lives’ and providing services of those in need. Congratulations to Margaret Weller-Stargell and all the great folks at Coastal Horizons for their work in securing these funds,” said McIntyre in a press release.
The $1.6 million congressionally-appropriated funds were awarded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to Coastal Horizons for mental health and substance abuse services.
