WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Hundreds of people put on pink and took strides to help fight breast cancer Saturday as survivors and supporters followed a pink fire truck through downtown Wilmington.
This is the third year for the event, Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, which raises money to find a cure.
Survivors say it was incredible to see so many people supporting the cause.
“It’s awesome to bring all of these people together,” said survivor Jocelyn George. “We have so many people from different counties, so it's awesome to see all of these people out here who want to support us and find a cure.”
Organizers are hoping to raise $80,000.
