WILMINTON, NC (WECT) - The fifth annual Zombie Walk will take place this weekend in downtown Wilmington, aiming to benefit the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina.
Last year, the walk provided over 2,000 meals through the Food Bank, according to a news release. Organizers are hoping to gain some more zombie patriots this year.
The walk will begin at Soapbox Laundro Lounge, located at 255 N. Front St.
Makeup will begin at 1 p.m., and after the transformation, the walk will began at 4 p.m.
In order to participate in the walk, you will have to pay a $5 fee or donate three perishable food items.
There will be a couple of concerts to enjoy in the honor of the walk. One will be held at the Soapbox Laundro Lounge featuring Rictus Grim, D & D sluggers, Mad Hatters and many others starting at 7.
Tickets for this show are $5 per person and free for participants of the walk. The other show is at the Loft located on 121 Grace Street. This show will featurea variety ofD.J.’s. Tickets are $10 per person and $5 for walkers.
