Edwards appointed to state advisory committee position | Community Spirit

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Executive Director for the Historic Wilmington Foundation is taking a position on the North Carolina National Register Advisory Committee.

George Edwards is closing in on his eight year with the local foundation. He'll serve a two year term from July this year to June 2014.

The NRAC reviews nominations for historic preservation before they move on for federal consideration.

The city of Wilmington has seven districts listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
