WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - In celebration of Native American Heritage Month, Cape Fear Community College will host Waccamaw-Siouan Day at the downtown Wilmington Campus on Saturday, Nov. 3.
The event will be held in Tabitha's Courtyard in the 400 block of N. Front St. from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Activities include native dances, crafts, drumming, quilt making, jewelry and traditional fry bread making.
Admission is free and open to the public.
Other upcoming events this month include Native American storytelling at the Wilmington Children's Museum, a presentation about the history of the Navaho Code Talkers at the Battleship North Carolina and Native American artifact identification at the CFCC downtown library.
