Volunteers honor veterans, spouses and widows
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Home Instead Senior Care staff members and volunteer CAREGivers will honor more than 250 veterans, spouses and widows this week.
According to a press release, the volunteers will travel to area retirement communities, assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
The special salute will include piano accompanied patriotic songs and gifts will be presented to veterans and family members.
Thursday the volunteers will go to Elderhaus on Amphitheatre Drive, Champions on Porters Neck Road, and the Kempton on 41st Street.
