WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Henrietta III is in Norfolk, Virginia for a tune-up.
The boat has been lifted from the water in Colonna’s Shipyard with what is dubbed the “world’s largest travel-lift” for inspection and maintenance.
According to a press release, the Henrietta’s crew is performing some tasks that are needed but the majority of the maintenance will be performed by shipyard personnel.
The Coast Guard has performed the hull exam and is keeping an eye on the work performed as it progresses.
Once all repairs are completed, a fresh coat of paint will be applied to the hull and the Henrietta will return to Wilmington.
