WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Police are looking for a man who they say pointed a gun at another man who was carrying a child.
It all happened around 10 p.m. last night. It started on S. Walk in the Hillcrest community.
A woman called 911 to say that her boyrfriend, Michael McMillan, took her car keys after an argument, which left her car at Silver Stream Rehabilitation. The father of that woman's baby, Anthony McAllister, picked her up and took her to the 1400 block of Meares Steet to get her child's belongings.
Police say McMillan showed and pointed a gun at McAllister's leg while McAllister was holding his child. They say McMillan told him to put the child down so he could shoot him, but McAllister did not. While trying to break up the two men, police say McMillan slapped the female twice in the face.
McMillan left, but police say he shot five or six times into McAllister's unoccupied car. Police say this morning, McMillan went to McAllister's home on Morgan Street and shot into the house. No person was hit, but police say a pet dog was shot in the leg.
Police are still looking for McMillan, who faces charges of assault by pointing a gun, communicating threates, property damage and assault on a female.
Police released a photo of McMillan from a previous incident.
