WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Police have arrested a man after an incident that happened in the Creekwood neighborhood Thursday morning.

A patrol officer says he saw a suspicious vehicle and followed it to Willow Street where the car pulled into a driveway. A man got out of the car and threw something underneath another car.

The officer was able to catch Frederick Freeman and found what he had thrown under the car.  It was 25 morphine pills wrapped in plastic. The officer searched the car and also found a hypodermic needle.

Freeman is charged with conspiracy to sell morphine/possession of drug paraphernalia.
