WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Production crews with the NBC drama Revolution are back to work in Wilmington.
Nearly 250 extras are expected take part in the filming of some scenes at the North Fourth Street Bridge Tuesday afternoon, according to film permits. Some crew members said they may not start filming, however, until Wednesday as they need time to set up the scenes.
According to the film permit, heroes will enter the "Gates of Atlanta" and panicked residents will flee the city through the gates.
Four cast members will be involved in the scenes.
According to NBC, Revolution takes 15 years in the future and shows the aftermath of a global blackout where the entire world lost power. The show will return March 25 and airs Mondays at 10/9c.
