Go face-to-face with your legislators on Sunday | Events

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Would you like to meet our area legislators in person to discuss an issue or ask questions?

"Face to Face with your Legislators" is a public event planned by the League of Women Voters that will give you this opportunity.

The event is scheduled from 3 until 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the New Hanover County Government Center, located at the Market Place Mall on S. College Rd.

State Senators and Representatives for Brunswick, New Hanover, and Pender counties, plus U.S. Rep. Mike McIntyre will be available for a casual meeting with the public. There will be no speeches, but it will be a unique opportunity to have a one-to-one conversation on issues of concern, which might include education, the environment, health care, etc.

Public comment tables will be available for Senators Burr and Hagan, county commissioners, and the Wilmington City Council.
