WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The North Carolina NAACP along with the New Hanover NAACP, and the NNPA/Wilmington 10 Pardons of Innocence Project is sponsoring an Ecumenical Celebration of the Pardon of Innocence for the Wilmington 10, according to a press release.
The event will take place Saturday, Jan. 5 at 2 p.m. at the Gregory Congregational United Church of Christ in Wilmington.
Certificates of Pardon, signed by Gov. Beverly Perdue, will be given to surviving members of the Wilmington 10 and family members of the four deceased members.
The event is open to the public.
