'We're the Millers' uses 2 downtown restaurants for filming | Hollywood East

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Actress Jennifer Aniston may have accepted boyfriend Justin Theroux's marriage proposal, but filming for her newest flick must go on.

We're the Millers will be filming at Pender's Café on North Front Street until 3:00 Monday afternoon. Then, the production will move down the street to continue production at the Princess Street side of the Eat Spot.

Film permits describe the scenes at Pender's Café as an abduction scene that involves special rain effects. The scene at the Eat Spot involves and actor trying to break into vending machines.

According to the film permits, eight actors will be involved in the scenes and 25 extras will be used.

North Front Street between Chestnut and Grace will be closed until 11:30 a.m. and Princess Street between Water and Front Streets will be closed from 1-8 p.m. Monday.
