WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Imagine if your job required you to jump from an airplane?

That's the case for stunt woman and actress Sarah Farooqui.

In her newest role, the dare-devil beauty falls from the sky in Iron Man 3.

A clip released by Marvel on Facebook shows Farooqui being sucked out of a plane and freefalling toward the ground.

In the scene, she's the first person Iron Man snatches from the sky.

Ashlea Kosikowski caught up with her on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of the film last week.

She did her own stunt work, diving out of the plane, without a green screen.

Some parts of the scene do involve CGI; however, a lot of it was filmed in the air over Oak Island.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington, also referred to as Hollywood East, returns to the small screen this weekend with the release of a movie filmed in town.

The highly-anticipated movie Mary and Martha premieres on HBO Saturday at 8 p.m.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The first look of the upcoming CBS
show, Under the Dome has been
released online.

The locally-filmed series is based on a Stephen King novel
with the same title.

It's about a fictitious town called Chester's Mill that finds
itself surrounded by a mysterious barrier that won't allow people to travel
outside of it.

So far, the production has filmed in Wilmington, Burgaw and
Southport. The show is expected to premiere on CBS in June.
