WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A construction worker is in the hospital after an accident took place on the job.
Fire officials say an excavator was carrying concrete on Third Street in Wilmington when a chunk, weighing about 300 pounds came loose and hit the worker. The slab of concrete forced the worker into a hole.
According to fire officials, the man, whose name has not been released, suffered a tough blow but will likely be okay.
