CFCC President announces retirement | News
Title
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –The President of Cape Fear Community College, Eric McKeithan, announced Thursday evening that he will be retiring July 1.
"CFCC has been ‘-on its feet' and ‘off and running' for many years now, scoring many remarkable achievements and positively impacting the lives of many thousands of students," said McKeithan in a statement. "But past achievements do not guarantee future success, and more facets of the jewel require polishing. The continuing success of Cape Fear Community College therefore requires sustained positive leadership, and the time has arrived for CFCC to find its next president to lead this remarkable institution to even higher levels of service."
He added that other pursuits await him, and that he and his wife will continue to support the college.
McKeithan has been at CFCC since 1994, and has spent 42 years in higher education.
