Buying and browsing unique antique items downtown | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Homeowners could find some old-time charm downtown this weekend.
The North Carolina Sorosis club held its 42nd annual
antique show and sale at the Coastline Convention Center Sunday afternoon.
The women's club put on the three day event to raise money for
several local charities. Almost 40 vendors from 11 states set up shop.
Teresa Lee is the chairman of the antique show. She said she was
part of the very first show 42 years ago. She said her favorite part is seeing items
she used to see in her grandparents' house.
"It's kind of like a family reunion each year
because we see lots of the same faces coming back," she said. "We also see new
faces because so many people are retiring in Wilmington now."
She
said she expects more than 1,000 old and new faces walk through the convention
center for this year's show.
