Mayor Saffo looking to hire lobbyist for Wilmington | News
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – During the City Council's agenda brief on Monday morning, Wilmington Mayor Bill Saffo directed the city manager to hire a lobbyist for both Raleigh and Washington, D.C.
Saffo said he was surprised by the number of cities and counties who currently employ a lobbyist, including New Hanover County.
He said a number of issues will be coming up in Raleigh and Washington, and he'd like someone who knows both parties to be there.
Saffo is expected to bring up this item again at Tuesday's City Council meeting.
