New deli owner hopes for the best | News
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The owner of a new deli in downtown Wilmington is hoping for the best after opening Cousins Italian Deli in a location where several other restaurants have failed.
Owner Joe DeLiberto and his family moved to Wilmington six years ago after closing his deli restaurant in New Jersey. DeLiberto tried other professions, but eventually missed the hustle and bustle of the service industry.
That's when DeLiberto decided to open Cousins Italian Deli on N. Third Street, across from the New Hanover County Courthouse.
He is planning to have a grand opening and ribbon cutting in September.
