WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A downtown intersection that was supposed to reopen Friday afternoon will reopen later than planned, according to a news release.
Because of rain, the intersection of Fourth and Grace streets will remain closed until Monday afternoon.
As part of the North Third Street improvement project, crews conducted underground utility work at the intersection.
“Traffic is being detoured away from the intersection between Chestnut and Walnut streets,” according to the release. “Local traffic can access driveways in the affected blocks, but will not be able to cross the intersection.”
