WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) –Police are still searching for a suspect involved in a shooting that sent one person to the hospital Monday night.
Police may have found the victim.
A man arrived at the hospital with a gun shot wound shortly after the shooting at North Tenth Street tonight. He's expected to be okay.
Police tell us whoever is involved was gone by the time they arrived. The SABLE helicopter hovered above the area for bit.
It happened it the front yard of a house where police eventually sectioned off. The neighbors we spoke with say they heard the shots but didn't see anything.
Police are still investigating another shooting in the same 10-block area from this weekend at Robert Strange Park, when an argument after a softball game ended with gun shots.
Three people wound up in the hospital. Their injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Both of these incidents have on-going investigations. As of right now, no arrests have been made in either shooting.
Anyone with information should contact Wilmington PD.
