WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Police arrested 22-year-old Jariel Ragin Thursday night during a routine patrol in the area of 5th Ave. and Castle St., according to a news release from the Wilmington Police Department.

The officer knew Ragin had armed robbery warrants and took him into custody. A search of Ragin subsequent to his arrest yielded 23 bindles of heroin and love boat.

Ragin is currently in the New Hanover County jail under a $160,000 bond and was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, felony possession of schedule I (heroin) and possession with the intent to manufacture/sell/distribute schedule I.
