Take the chance to say thank you at a Veteran's Day event | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Even without a direct connection to a veteran, many find it important to take the time to observe Veteran's Day.

If you want to get involved in some of the events happening over the weekend here's a short list:

CFCC will have a veteran's ceremony at noon Friday at Tabitha's Courtyard at the downtown campus. The event will include music, and a keynote speech. The event will be unique for not only the veteran guests, but students, too as there are nearly 600 student veterans enrolled at CFCC.

UNCW will have a veteran's day ceremony Friday starting at 10:45 a.m. in the University Commons Amphitheater.

The Wilmington Symphony Orchestra will put on a concert called ‘Patriotic Pops!' A salute to veterans on November 11 at 4:00 p.m. This will be held at the UNCW Keenan Auditorium

New Hanover County Veterans Organization will hold a ceremony on Veterans Day at 11 a.m. at National Cemetery.
