Small businesses cash in on "Cyber Monday" | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Millions of Americans are taking advantage of sales from the comfort of their homes by clicking for items online during Cyber Monday. Even small businesses in Wilmington are seeing results.

"Edge of Urge", located in downtown Wilmington, considers Cyber Monday one of the most important days for business. It's a good way to increase online presence.

The store typically does 3 to 5 online orders a day but on Monday, there were more than 100 orders in less than 24 hours.

The small business looks at this as a way to reach beyond Wilmington.

"We try to keep our sales kind of special so we don't run them often," said Michael Ussery with Edge of Urge. "Our customers have come to expect that on Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday, those will be the days we really push a major sale."
