WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Work is underway on town downtown Wilmington storm water improvement projects.
According to the City, the projects include replacement of the drainage system at the intersection of Front and Walnut Streets and the at the intersection of Water and Ann Streets.
The projects will help protect each area from cave-ins that can occur during heavy rains.
Work at Front and Walnut Streets is expected to be finished in April, while the work at Water and Ann should be complete in March.
Some street closures are in effect, but local businesses remain open and accessible.
