WWAY news director arrested during MLK parade event | News
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – An employee from WWAY was arrested Monday after entering the Martin Luther King Jr. parade route in downtown Wilmington when he was instructed by officers not to do so.
According to Lt. Prince, News Director Scott Pickey was the one placed under arrest.
According to the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, Pickey was arrested and charged with failure to obey and reckless driving to endanger.
Pickey was booked at the New Hanover County Jail and has since bonded out.
