WPD investigating, asking public for information surrounding assault | News

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Wilmington Police are investigating a fight that left a man with serious injuries Tuesday afternoon.

According to a spokesperson with the Wilmington police Department, officers were called to the Houston Moore Housing Complex around 12:28 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found 30-year-old Lamar Earl Biggett of S. 7th Street on the ground, unconscious and bleeding after an alleged assault. Biggett was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center and is in critical condition there.

WPD officers and detectives talked to several witnesses and are continuing to look into the incident.
