WILMINGTON - Keeping personal information safe is the subject of the first annual Cyber Security Awareness Day coming to Cape Fear Community College this week. The college will be holding a series of free lectures with advice about cyber security on Thursday, October 17, 2013.
This free event is open to the public and includes a series of informational sessions on topics such as keeping personal information safe online using a personal computer and mobile devices. Current political topics regarding national information security will also be discussed.
Guests are encouraged to bring a laptop computer to learn more about how to keep data safe and secure.
There will also be sessions on personal and campus safety within the college community.
The event will begin from 9:00 am - 4:00 p.m. and will be held in Cape Fear Community College’s Union Station building on the downtown Wilmington Campus in room U-508.
