Kids pack several holidays into one show | Theatre

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Journey Productions and Stageworks Youth Theatre are giving audiences a new way to look at the holiday season.

The group's newest show is called Twas the Night Before.., and it is running at Thalian Hall.

The show was written by a few local theater folks and is a mash-up of several holiday stories.

"It's not just Christmas," said 16-year-old actress Quincy Rife. "We have a solstice which is a new spin on the winter season, and then we've got some New Year's.  We have a new take on The Gift of the Magi which is a century old Christmas story, and it's going to be really fun."

"It is entertaining and funny," said eight-year-old actress Harper Byers Ogle. 

"It's the holidays, so everyone likes to get together and see things with the theme of the holidays," said Quincy. "It kind of brings people together."
