WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - According to the NCDOT press release, The Cape Fear Memorial Bridge will have temporary overnight lane closures on Thursday, June 13 at 9pm until 5am Friday, June 14.

This closure is necessary so crews can perform maintenance on the lighting system and grid deck flooring on the bridge.

Plan for delays if you are heading in or out of town during the overnight hours.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – One lane on South College Road between S. 17th Street and Mohican Trail will be closed to drivers Thursday, June 6th.

Crews are repairing cracks along the road. This closure will take place from 9am to 2:30pm.

Expect delays if you plan to travel on South College Rd.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – According to the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge tender, the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge  is expected to go up between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 28.

The opening was originally scheduled between  8 a.m. and 9 a.m. this morning but  the ship is running behind schedule.  

The ship is leaving town which will cause the Isabel Homes Bridge to go up first around 9:30 a.m. and then the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge to go up shortly after around 9:45 a.m.

Plan for delays if you are heading in or out of town between 9 a.m. and 10 a.m. Tuesday.
