Ghosts at Bellamy Mansion?

Ghosts at Bellamy Mansion?

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Viewer Amber Blankenship sent this picture of the Bellamy Mansion to WECT via See it, Snap it, Send it. What’s unique about the picture is the shadow in the bottom left window.

According to Blankenship, she and a friend were volunteering at the mansion when they heard a big bang on the second floor, which had been locked from access. They ran outside and took a picture.

The "Hardee's Hen" has been kidnapped

The "Hardee's Hen" has been kidnapped

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - WECT was the first station to tell Wilmington about the "Hardee's Hen" on Carolina Beach Road. After the story spread nationwide, the now-famous hen paid the price of fame.

According to Hardee's General Manager Marilyn Johnson, the hen started crossing the street to visit other restaurants.

Her story captured so much attention, she became a restaurant attraction, unfortunately, for the wrong kind of on-looker.

On a recent morning, the hen ran over to the McDonald's where she attracted a car full of trouble-makers. They chased her, picked her up and put her inside the car trunk.

The Hardee's staff ran outside to save her but the car was too fast.

Staff say diners still come to see the hen and the restaurant hasn't been the same for weeks.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) — Look carefully at this picture and tell us what you see!

A WECT viewer mailed us this photograph of a tree stump in Wilmington. While walking her beagle near Greenfield Lake, Carolyn Hardie stumbled upon this site and was instantly mesmerized by what she saw.

She snapped a photo and has a theory about what it could be. But before we tell you what she thinks it is, we want to hear your opinion.

Post your response in the comment section of this story and after we've received several responses, we'll tell you what Hardie thinks the stump appears to be.
